I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl, but it was not until my sophomore year in high school that I knew this was the path for me. I ended up volunteering in my schools ESE classroom that entire year and fell so in love with the students and teaching that I continued to volunteer until the day I graduated. The first student to touch my heat was named Orlando. He was highly autistic and did not communicate well, for example if you asked him a question he normally did not respond to it, but instead would just look at you. Orlando was very special though, he could remember the lyrics to any song he ever heard. So together we would sing and a strong bond was formed. I knew I was put on this earth to teach and here I am now with one year left until I receive my bachelors degree in elementary education!
The
grade that I desire to teach the most is first grade, but I would be more than
happy to teach to any grade and and level of students given to me. I hope to
one day continue school and get my masters degree in education. I put my all
into everything that I do and I feel that I am a very compassionate person. I
love to worth with children because they still see the world as being a
wonderful place where dreams can come true
